Coupons in every day life!

A few weeks ago my son got a lil itchy with me at the movie theater because I took coupons. Now I know what you are going to say really coupons for that? Our schools in the area sell these fundraiser entertainment coupon books. In them are coupons for a local movie theater. For each movie ticket I purchased for both my kids I got a free small drink with the coupon. And if I bought a small bag of popcorn for myself I got a free pop as well. My daughter will not eat popcorn so the one bag for my son and I is plenty. I walked away with three small drinks and a bag of popcorn for $3.75! Then we went to the movies last weekend and I had signed up for their reel card online. I it is a savings card that is free you save money on movie and conession purchases plus earn points for free things like tickets and concessions. Each time I use that card I can get $3.00 off each movie ticket and also $3.50 off their combos. Extra savings.

I look at these entertainment coupon books just like any other coupon. I used one in a week for free pizza delivery with a minimum ten dollar order which saved me five dollars. I used another to buy my mom and I lunch for a buy one get one free entree. I also used my discount card or other wise known as key tag savings card at my local gas station grocery store. By shopping at this grocery store I earn fuel points for their gas station. That week I had forty cents off a gallon. So if you add that week up five dollars for the delivery fee, eight dollars from the fuel points savings and ten dollars for the lunch I saved a total of twenty three dollars that week using coupons on things I buy or use every day. In one month that is more than eighty dollars and in once year that is a savings of nine hundred plus dollars! See the small things do add up!
